Olivia's Big Girl Room

I know it took me long enough to get these out but here it is. I am so excited about how it turned out. My mom and I are quite the team. I come up with an idea, she runs with it, and can sew like no one else I know. The results are always better than what I had imagined.

Jump Zone

We headed for a field trip to the jump zone yesterday. I thought we might have a little trouble when it said ages 2-12 but we braved it anyways. Olivia did great, except that some "big boys were bovering me and bocking my way" There were way many older boys for my taste, you know the obnoxious ones who literally jump over your little kids to get in front of them in line...ugh. She had a lot of fun though. She couldn't be bothered to wait for Toby and usually lapped him on her second run. Here she is leaving him in the dust.

Toby did better than I thought too. After flying down the first two slides, and flopping all around smacking his face on the plastic, he decided that going down this way was much more safe.

He did really good going up the ladders too but most of the time he just caused a traffic jam. He tried so hard though it just made me proud that he kept going, even though he kept looking back to see the mess he had gotten himself in.

They went down the slides for like 45 minutes before they were over it and went to go play in the baby section. They played with this box for another 45 minutes. I think I need to get me one of these for our house.

Hes a beast

Last week we went to see my "Grandma Barbie" (as the kids call her, but her name is Barbara) at her home. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't do much. I love to take the kids to see her because she doesn't stop smiling the whole time. She loves to just sit there and watch them play. Sometimes she tries to tell us how cute or big they are, but she mostly just smiles. Toby loves her, but Liv is a little scared.

After we visit her we ritually go to Fat Burger with my dad. The first time we went we made the mistake of ordering Toby a "Baby Fat". He devoured that baby burger in 1 minute flat and was asking for more. So this time we got him his very first "Fat Burger" (Which is the size I get by the way) Here are our burgers. Toby, Mama, Grampy, and Liv's.

There he goes...so serious

And a hug for Sissy afterward. He says "I wuv you Sissy" now and it just melts my heart. I just know they are going to be good friends.

LONG 4th

Started the day off by going to Carynn's grandparents house for a little swim before naps...it was great.

Came home, put the kids down for naps and had some much needed alone time for mom and dad. Around 4:30 (So 2 1/2 hours after Toby went to sleep) we walk in Tobys room to get him only to find a water show going on. There was water pouring out of all 3 light bulbs in his light fixture.  Kevin ran outside to find that the hose has busted a whole in it (he forgot to turn it off earlier in the morning) and the hole happened to be perfectly pointed at the roof where there is a 12 x 1 inch opening (that only happens every 5 feet mind you) under the roof that goes into the attack. The water was going into the whole and into the attack and right into Toby's room. He slept through the entire thing. His room was soaked. Kevin had to rip out all the carpet padding and take the carpet out on the lawn to dry. He had to poke a million holes in the ceiling so the drywall and insulation dries and doesn't mold. Kevin kicked butt cleaning up all the water. He filled up 2 whole shop vac loads of water and nothing important was ruined. It could have been a whole lot worse so we are thankful for that much. We still have to come up with the funds to fix the damage though so we will see how that goes.
