Toby the Love Bug

Lately Toby has been the biggest love bug.

One reason might be because hes 3. (My absolute favorite age)3 years olds are just sweet...at least both of mine have been.

Another reason might be because now he is only allowed to have his snuggle and his thumb at nap and bed time. But he has quickly realized that he can get around that if he has some snuggle time with me on the couch. "Mom, can you come and snuggle wif me? Yes? ok I go get my haha (his snuggle)" I'm such a sucker for it that I let him have his snuggle and thumb because I love the that time so much.

One thing he has started to do is get up early and come into bed with me. He gets up around 6:45 and comes in my bed to rest and snuggle with me till I am ready to get up or until Olivia gets up. Every morning he climbs into bed with me, gets right in my face with a huge smile, tells me "Mama, you my best fwiend, i wub you watta much" and lays down next to me. He always puts his snuggle in between us so we can "share" it. I LOVE the way he smells in the morning and I love this time we get together.

Now this morning was different. He must have been pretty tired cause he slept in till almost 8. I had already gotten up and was getting ready. He comes in, looks at me sitting in my chair, and yells at me with his best stern voice "Mom, get in bed. I didn't get to snuggle wif you." With that tone I HAD to comply. I climbed back into bed and he climbed in after me and we proceeded to snuggle. Even though I was almost late for to drop Olivia off at school because of it, I wouldn't have given that moment up for anything.

LOVE my BOY!

Life: Lots of Random Thoughts

Life is busy...all the time.

I hate that I dont stop and take the time to write it all down. I need to, because I will never remember it otherwise...but it's so hard to find the time after an exhausting day to sit down and re-live it on the computer. I dont want to...I got tired enough doing it the first time. SO I put it off...and off...and off till I forget about it. I really wish you could postdate blogs.

AND I HATE the fact that my card on my camera is almost full (i cant erase my favorite pictures off of it in fear that my computer, external hard drive, and picture cd will all perish...i know...thats a whole new level of OCD *or crazy* but I am who I am)and so it takes me forever to upload my new pictures, and I hate blogging without pictures. Ahhhh...Im rambling. My point: I will update soon. I have to. I will do an August in review post and stop beating myself up for it. Goodnight.

Olivia's First Day of School

Today was Olivia's first day of preschool. She is going to First Lutheran Children's Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is in the Rainbow Room and her teacher is Mrs. Carlstrom. She is so excited to be in school (and that her cousin Ayden is in the same class)and to be a "big girl" now. We went to breakfast at Panera, and she wanted to drive in Daddy's car to school. I tried not to take that too personally, but Kevin got a kick out of it. Here are the pictures of her first day:

My Birthday!!

I had an AMAZING birthday week. Yes I said week. My birthday was on a Saturday so I got tons of love. We did our 2nd annual birthday triple date dinner at Claim Jumper with Angi/Ryan, and Caynn/Kevy. Had a great dinner, ate way too much, Angi got me a slice of the motherload cake, and gave me my card. It had tickets for Angi, Carynn, and Me to go to go see LADY GAGA!!!

Toby at 3

3 is by far my most favorite year. The 2 year old Tantrums are coming fewer and further in between. They are talking so much more, and saying the craziest things. They love you so much. And can actually tell you.

Toby is no different. He is he biggest lover in the world. He tells me he loves me and that I am his best friend upwards of 30 times a day. He is constantly hugging me and wanting kisses. He always wants to snuggle with me on the couch.

He loves anything with wheels and moves fast. Cars, trains, trucks, planes, fire trucks, and ambulances to name a few. He screams with excitement every time he sees one. He is all boy that way. He also loves all the super heros. I don't even know how because he has never seen any of the cartoons, but it is just in his little boy blood to know each of them by name.

He loves to sing and dance. Loves Lady Gaga, veggie Tales, country, and hardcore. She has quite an eclectic taste in music but he definitely knows what he likes. He will stop and shake his "peanut" (butt) any time a song comes on that he loves. He also loves the theme song to The Office. Every time it comes on, no matter where he is in the house, he hears it, runs into the living room, and starts spinning and dancing.

He loves to make funny faces and loves to make us laugh.

One of my favorite things about him is how fast he lets go of things. He can be SO mad and upset about something and a minute later be laughing and playing again. But along with that comes my least favorite thing about him...he can take a lot, I mean, a lot from Olivia or Dad. But when he is done, he is DONE. He will go from ok to furious in 2 seconds flat. Throwing stuff, clawing, screaming...I mean, he gets CRAZY.

All in all he is an amazing kid. Sleeps and eats like a champ. Will try anything once and eats his veggies like a champ. In fact, salad and cucumbers are two of his favorite foods. He is a creature of habit and eats a nutragrain bar, gogurt, and aplesause everyday for breakfast. Has to take a drink and go pee before he takes a nap, and has to pray, sing wheels on the bus, say he wont wake "See-ba" up in the morning, and sing "i looooooooovvvvvvveeeeee you" and touch finger tips before he goes to bed at night.

I love him terribly and am so thankful God gave me a little boy that I never wanted. He definitely knew what he was doing when He gave me Toby. Toby has taught me more patience and understanding that any other boy in my life. Love this boy!

The History Museum

Today we pack up and went to LA to meet up with the other Fisher Fam to go to the Natural History Museum. I was glad the kids were free cause there really wasnt that much for them to look at that made any sense to a 3 and 4 year old but it was still fun to get out of the house and do something.

In the garden at the museum they has an AMAZING butterfly exhibit. There had to be thousands of them just flying around. Liv and Toby were in heaven. It was perfect except for the worker walking around nagging everyone to not touch the butterflies even though they would land right on you. Liv was not sure what the heck just landed on her head in this one...haha. We had a great time.
